pumice bowl / hearth
elizabeth beach - 15 mins - hot hot hot sun
pumice of all sizes has strewn this beach for months
great to work with - more ideas and works to come

pacific rim or gigantic barnacles ?
2 attempts - improved with experience @ north boomerang beach
time stood still on 2nd making - 1 or 2 hrs ?
waited for tide to come in a bit as it was full low tide
will revisit at high tide tomorrow and re-photograph
i like the way the sand shapes mirrored the barnacle's shape and colour and the curve that emerged in the overall pattern made it seem like a rime of miniature volcanoes
it worked on a micro-macro scale simultaneously
fun and cool on a really hot day
